Vaachan Prerna Diwas’ or ‘Reading Day is celebrated on 14th October 2022 to mark the birth anniversary of our Late President Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam.
Reading helps one to grow mentally, emotionally & psychologically and opens the doors of new knowledge to enlighten the mind. It improves Vocabulary and grammar which enhances one’s ability to speak and write. In this era of the internet and mobile, many students do not find reading books exciting.
Since the reading day was during their exam time, the students of Std V to VIII had their Reading Day after their paper. This activity helped them develop and inculcate the habit of reading.
