Marathi Diwas was celebrated on the occasion of the birth anniversary of a great Marathi Poet Shri V. V. Shirwadkar, popularly known as Kusumagraj. To mark the day, an online special assembly was organized for the students of the Pre-Primary and Primary sections. The assembly began with an introduction of Marathi Diwas followed by a prayer and  hymn. Aarohi Pawar from Class 3 B recited a beautiful poem ‘Utha Utha Chivu Tai’ and expressed her feelings in Marathi.  To showcase Marathi culture with an aim to spread love for the Marathi language among the students, Std. I performed a beautiful Maharashtrian folk dance. The assembly ended with the famous quotes of Kusumgraj shown through a video.

Our Principal, Sr. Angela visited all the classrooms and wished the students for the Marathi Diwas. A short Marathi film ‘Bhook’ was shown to the students which shed light on the problems faced a young kid who belonged to a poor family and was forced by the circumstances to earn for his livelihood for him as well as his ailing mother.
