From the 1st of September to the 4th of October special assemblies on the theme ‘Season of Creation’ were conducted by the students. The ecumenical season of creation is a special time in the liturgical year during which we celebrate the wonder of creation and thank God the creator. The season begins on the 1st of September and concludes on the 4th of October on the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi. 1st September has been declared as the International Day of Care for creation by Pope Francis, the Christian family unites for this worldwide celebration of prayer and action to protect our common home. It is a special season where we celebrate God as Creator and acknowledge Creation. The theme for this year is ‘To Hope and Act with Creation’ and to share their hopeful vision for creation. There were assemblies held for the season of creation which began with a short video on the need to safeguard our environment and to do our part to protect God’s creation, followed by a prayer service. Std. V to VIII conducted various class activities on ‘Season of Creation’ which were as follows:
