Fort Convent School observed the 73rd Republic Day on the 26th of January, 2022. A Flag Hoisting ceremony at 8:00 a.m., and a short Online program at 9:00 a.m. had been organized to mark the significance of the day. Our Headmistress – Sr. Angela Raposo unfurled the National Flag to the sound of our National Anthem. Then the Students as well as teachers present for the ceremony took the National pledge led by the Head Girl – Abigail Rodrigues. Sister Angela then gave a speech on the significance of the day.
The virtual Republic Day celebration continued by a cultural programme presented by the students of Std. VI at 9:00 a.m. on the theme “THE VIBRANT HUES OF PATRIOTISM.”
The event commenced with the students conveying their emotions through music, videos, songs, and dance. All this made us acknowledge our beautiful land and its beautiful people with their beautiful cultures. The significance of the day was portrayed amazingly.
