Marathi day is celebrated and commemorated as Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din. It marks the birth anniversary of Vishnu Vishwanath Shirwadkar. He was a torchbearer of the Marathi language and literature. This significance was brought to light at CJM with the celebration of this day on the 27th of February, the theme for the event was ‘आनंदे गाऊ मराठी, आनंदे नाचू मराठी’. highlighting the key importance of the day and the importance of the language in the form of melodious traditional dances.
