Marathi Day is celebrated and commemorated as Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din. It marks the birth anniversary of Vishnu Vishwanath Shirwadkar. He was a torchbearer of the Marathi language and literature. This significance was brought to light at CJM with the celebration of this day on the 4th of March. The programme began with an enlightening speech on the significance of Marathi Divas, highlighting the key importance of the day and the importance of the language in the form of melodious traditional dances and skit. Students also recited beautiful Marathi poems, paying tribute to the language and its literary heritage. The following activities were also conducted by the students of Std. V to VIII to commemorate the day.
