Maharashtra Day and Labour day were celebrated on 1st May 2022. Mrs. Nandini Kapoor was the Chief Guest for the day. The flag hoisting ceremony was held at 8:00 am after which the pledge was taken by all those present. At 8:15 am a cultural programme was held in the Marian Hall.
The programme began with a warm welcome of the Chief Guest and our Principal, followed by the lighting of the Lamp. Mrs Riya Vartak Introduced the Chief Guest and was Presented with a token of appreciation. The programme began by giving the introduction of Maharashtra Day. A prayer service was conducted thanking the almighty for the leaders and social workers and all those who sacrificed their lives to liberate the state.
The School displayed a rich Maharashtrian culture by giving the importance and significance of various festivals celebrated in Maharashtra through graceful dance performances. A PPT was shown giving Information on various Historical Forts, Monuments and cuisine of the state. The programme concluded with a finale song.
Our Chief Guest Mrs. Nandini Kapoor addressed the audience and appreciated the student’s performance and enthusiasm throughout the programme. She also expressed her gratitude and thanked each one present for their support and love during her teaching career at CJM, Fort.
Sister Angela thanked and appreciated the teachers in charge Mrs. Riya Vartak, Sneha Sawant and the students for their excellent and outstanding performance. Sister also thanked Mrs. Samiksha Mundhe for her efforts put in preparing a beautiful backdrop and Ms Sharon and Mrs Manasvi for the colourful Rangoli. Sister also thanked Mrs. Nandini Kapoor for her dedicated service of 18 years to the institution, instilling in students’ good values.
