‘Diwali – The festival of Lights’ was celebrated in our school on 19th October at 8:15 a.m. in the School Hall. The students of Class 2 A and 3 A had prepared a special program to mark this day. The theme for the program was ‘Let Your Light Shine!’ The program began with lighting of Samai by Sr. Angela, Mrs. Libreta, Mrs. Neha and the students. This was followed by a beautiful and meaningful prayer service which included a prayer dance, prayer of the faithful and a hymn. The students showcased the spirit of Diwali through a skit and dance performances which added joy and happiness among the students. Our Principal, Sr. Angela wished all the students a very Happy Diwali and emphasized on the message of a clean, eco-friendly and peaceful Diwali.
Students brought Diwali sweets and they enjoyed exchanging these sweets with each other and learnt the value of sharing. Indeed, it was a wonderful celebration which ended with the closing of the First Term for the year 2022 – 2023.
