Christmas is a festival of love, joy and peace. It was surely a Christmas to remember at Fort Convent School as it had a festive look with bells, wreaths, streamers and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree.
A special programme was held in the Marian Hall at 8:15 a.m. on the theme – Jesus is the Love, Joy and Hope of the World. The programme began with a beautiful prayer service which included a prayer dance, prayer of the faithful and a hymn. This was followed by a skit performed by the students of Std. 1 highlighting the value of sharing with the needy. To celebrate the greatest gift of Jesus Christ which brought light, hope and joy in the world, the Pre–Primary students performed the Christmas tableau. The students sang Christmas Carols and performed a beautiful polka dance. The true essence of Christmas came alive when Santa Claus entered the Hall distributing chocolates to the children. Our Principal, Sr. Angela appreciated the efforts of the students in putting up this wonderful programme and wished everyone a joyful Christmas and a Happy New Year! Students enjoyed games and danced to the music in their respective classrooms.
The celebration continued with the Get together of the entire CJM family spreading love and joy of the birth of Baby Jesus. A beautiful prayer service was held at 12:30 p.m. in the Marian Hall. The staff was then felicitated with a token of love by Sisters. The celebration ended with a sumptuous lunch.
