CJM, Fort organized ‘Parents and Grand Parents Day’ in honour of St. Joaquim and St. Anne – Parents of Blessed Virgin Mary and Grandparents of Jesus, to honour all Parents and Grand Parents for the sacrifices they make for their children.
A Special Eucharist was celebrated wherein all the Catholic students along with their Parents and Grandparents were invited for this celebration. Fr. Neil Santos – A Priest from the Archbishop’s House celebrated the Eucharist in the Marian Hall at 9.00 a.m.
The theme was ‘Parents: The Heartbeats of our lives’. Father brought out very well in his homily the importance of Parents and Grandparents in the lives of children. As children we must always acknowledge and appreciate the heartbeat of our lives of our beloved parents and try to build strong bonds in family life. During mass, children exchanged greeting cards with them as a sign of love.
The celebration continued with an entertainment program. The students performed beautiful dances which made the parents very happy. The parents participated with great zeal and enthusiasm in the program. Parents & Students were served refreshments. Mrs. Melagrine Kelawala – Parent of Our Assistant Head Girl – Michal Kelawala thanked the Principal, Teachers and the children for the wonderful program.
